A few months ago, I made a pledge to an unhoused man to help get his female cats fixed and his kittens into good homes. I thought he had 10 kittens and 7 female cats. 49 cats later... All but 2 kittens have been fixed -- those are staying in the encampment -- and all but 2 fixed kittens have been adopted. All female cats, including a bunch of feral cats I didn't know about and a bunch of the male cats have all been fixed. It was a hard road since most of the kittens had Upper Respiratory Infections that had to be cured before they could be fixed.
Of course, this cost a lot of money. But thanks to Purrifiec Rescue, all costs were covered! All $12,461.15 of them!
Some of us involved in the project are raising money to help reimburse these costs. The Diwali Party and Fun Run is donating as well.
